The unusual equipment, which was installed with the help of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), a US-based organization, is said to be the third of its sort in the nation. Multimedia projections inspire moving images of the earth on a sphere resembling a huge globe, offering real-time data on weather and biodiversity conditions worldwide, directly sourced from NASA.

Due to its wide range of specialties, the museum will be the first of its kind in the country. According to a KSSB official, it would include information on regional, planetary, and local biodiversity as well as a platform for people to express their environmental concerns.

According to SC Joshi, the chairman of KSBB, the museum will act as a gateway to Kerala and will elegantly depict the varied biodiversity of the 14 districts. He went on to say that the major reason for building such a museum is to help the public comprehend the richness of the environment they live in.

Take a bus from East Fort in Thiruvananthapuram to Vallakkadavu. Get off the bridge at Vallakkadavu. Turn left and continue straight for 800 yards after crossing the bridge. To the left of the road is a structure with artwork on its wall that references biodiversity. Since there isn’t much bus service along that route, it is preferable to take an auto from the prepaid auto counter at the Trivandrum train station or the Thampanoor KSRTC bus terminal.
